EasyPod Build

  • Since I like to build stuff by my self i made a camera mount plan for the easystar. It’s nothing new, there are several online shops which are selling similar camera mounts under the name “EasyPod” or something like that. This is the ver. 1, so probably after a while i will make some improvements in the future.
  • First, a list of things which you will need.:
  1. The PDF plan ;)
  2. Scissors, to cut out the plan,
  3. A pen
  4. A sheet of 3mm plywood
  5. A little hobby saw
  6. Sharp knife
  7. Sandpaper
  8. 5 min epoxy glue
  • Now lets start :D , as i mentioned before, i didn’t have plywood instead i used laminated 3mm balsa wood. Plywood is definitely the better choice.
  • Cut out all parts from the plan with a sharp knife or Scissors as shown above,
  • Draw the contours of the parts with a pen on to the plywood (6 parts),
  • Cut the parts out with a hobby saw and/or sharp knife
  • I glued two peaces of plastic on the top part to have something to screw in the screws which will hold the servo in place,
  • Don’t use glue in first place, fit the “easypod” first on to the plane correctly so that it fits right and then glue all the parts together,
  • Now glue on the magnets (be sure you have the polarisation right before gluing),
  • Fits perfectly ;)
